Diaryland is gone!

 Well it would appear that Diaryland is finally gone! All those posts I made over the decades, all lost for good it seems. All my deepest personal moments shared, and intended to be public one day, and now  they're just completely gone for good. Wow. I miss that place

I just remembered this blog

 So I'd forgotten about this blog, and have come back to it now because I think it might be interesting to share some of my experiences of my own life, and some further adventures as I explore the business of aging, and keeping as fit and active, mentally and physically, as possible. I'll be creating a podcast to share some of my thoughts about aging and maintaining a life that's worthwhile, stimulating, and fun. As of this moment I'm 67 years old, retired, and doing, among other things, a college course in psychology which I'll be sharing insights and ideas with readers. Keeping your pecker up!

 First of all, for those Americans who were wondering..."keeping your pecker up" is a British expression for staying enthusiastic, being in positive spirits, and being generally well. For the British readers, a "pecker" in America is that thing gentlemen use for more than just peeing.  This blog is to chart my own progress as I age and attempt to ward off all the associations so many people have with aging: that we become useless, bitter and twisted, lose all sense of adventure and fade, a little bit further every day, towards that hole in the ground and an eternity of no longer existing. It's my intention to share, as much as I can, my own experience of aging, and any nuggets of wisdom and knowledge I gain as I experiment with staying as youthful as I can by exploring neuroplasticity, educating myself, and keeping up the kinds of hobbies that I think should help any of us as we age.
